Sometimes the best intentions go awry.  The Suns called a meeting to discuss the destruction going on in their systems.  It was to be the first meeting of its kind.  The systems were all abuzz about it.  However, the Suns got too close, and their pull was devastating.  Chaos ensued and it did not end well.

Meeting of the Suns

  • Acrylic paints on stretched canvas.  Fully finished with high gloss varnish to protect the painting.   The painting is 24 inches tall by 30 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. Plaster is used under the paint to create an interesting texture on the canvas.

While putting plaster on the canvas, the shapes I formed were not intended to be suns.  I wanted to create a bright painting, so I layered reds, oranges and yellows.  As I was working, the idea that these were suns came to me.  However, they were only half suns, and close together.  The story formed in my head that they were risking a meeting to solve big issues, but they got careless and gravity took over.
